I've been itching to do Parry the sundog as a perler bead badge next. Previously I had made a badge out of the sundog logo that would be on Parry's superhero outfit. https://www.weasyl.com/~guineapigdan/submissions/2331871/parry-s-sundog-emblem-perler-bead-badge I wanted to make Parry's face look distinct from my badges of Peter the cat or Domino the guinea pig though, so I tried modeling his muzzle to look different from them. Doing a dog nose with a limited number of pixels took a little figuring out, but I think the simple smile I came up with looks all right. If I had more color variety, I'd try to make Parry's eyebrows and eyes look more orange tinted with his sunglasses. I ended up keeping his eyebrows black, I used a light cream for the whites of his eyes, and reddish brown beads for his irises. In the future I might do a larger pixel art version of Parry's head just so I can make his face look more detailed. Trying to recreate Parry's face with limited pixels to make him look like he could be a 1-up icon was challenging, and his head could be a template for doing future badges of my other dog characters.
