You know, having a friend group instead of just rival was a fun idea in X/Y.  Too bad it was kind of badly utilized. The nerdy shorty and dancing plus-size really didn't contribute anything to the story if I remember correctly...
Or not remember, I suppose. They didn't really leave an impression on me.
