As you recall Teen Titans episode Employee of the Month. Beast Boy fights beings made of Tofu Paste. After transforming into a gorilla, he gets trapped in a giant ball of paste.

Here we have a similar situation. Beast Boy is Fighting several Paste Monsters. They merge into a giant ball, trapping him. No matter how hard he tries, Beast Boy can’t break free. Eventually, he falls asleep.
