four months late, but here's a very long-winded answer to your question: it's far less AI-reliant than it used to be. there's still an element of AI present, though ever since the second sybil skit, i've been recording the voicelines myself - so it's more along the lines of a voice changer than anything else.
preferably, i wouldn't be using AI at all, but it's unfortunately a bit late to be changing the voice (at least not without shoehorning in some plot reason as to why he sounds completely different - which isn't TOTALLY out of the cards). frankly, if i knew bass boosted soldier was gonna become such a popular character, i would've done the voice myself from the get-go but hindsight is 20/20 and i am legally blind
