In my AU, [i]The Great Mouse Detective[/i] takes place before the events of the first [i]An American Tail[/i] film. During Fievel's journey to find his family, Olivia and her father Hiram (who immigrated to New York following the events of GMD) join him, Tony and Bridget.

One night, while staying at the Flaversham's (whose new home is in the same mouse neighborhood as the Mousekewitz's), Olivia shows Fievel how to be a good kisser and know what love is.

Just to give you all a clarification on the events of the first AAT film in my AU:
While the Flaversham's moved to America for better opportunities and a safer home, Basil and Dr. Dawson meanwhile were only were visiting America for a case on Warren T. Rat.
This was, of course, before Warren’s big bad reveal.

I'm trying to integrate the GMD characters into the AAT universe
but without skewing the plots.
