🌙 Meet Selena! Also known as just Sel.

Sel is a Light Vampire that is very focused on her studies of magic and knows so much about it that her knowledge even tops the knowledge Ravyn has (which is an achievement in itself, granted she has been alive longer than him).
She has a lot of mana, so much even that her mana output that people can see just freezes people. It’s so overwhelming that she also has no issues using magic whatsoever and is a silent caster for the most part.

She grew up in a town that was hiding due to the Light Vampires still being hunted down at the time. Her parents worked in the next town over, and her sister was with them when the incident occurred, and her magic unfortunately caused a massive magic implosion, killing everyone who was in the town at the time.
Something that could have been prevented if her magic had been suppressed until adulthood, but her parents didn’t have the money to get magic restrainers.
She does not blame them as she knew (she was 14 at the time, by the way) they were taking extra shifts to try to afford them.

She stopped using magic for a good few years until she started working through her trauma of the whole thing and made a little group to help others get over magic-related trauma.
Unfortunately, some people radicalized themselves into wanting to destroy magic, thus forming the Death Trust cult.
She feels huge guilt for it as she could not stop it, and with that unintentionally got the people together to form the cult, so she thinks it’s her fault they even exist.

She started to study magic after that and became low-key obsessed with learning it, becoming a Grand Mage in the process.
She uses the insiders to also avoid the Death Trust, as they want her dead.

She was rather secluded until she sought out the mercenary group.
She sought them out as she had intel on the Death Trust cult, as she actually has insiders in there that are still fiercely loyal to her and her original cause because of what she actually had in mind.
She joins them when she decides she will no longer run from them and teaches Ravyn Zero Suppression, so people now can’t tell if he’s nearby by his mana output.

Unlike Ravyn, she is not restrained and is always at full power magic wise!! 🌙
