Did you know that I would make a bunch of faux "easter egg" methods of unlocking all these overinflated forms of the bosses for the BTD6 bosses? Bloonarius was "get to Tier E5 with "Big Bloons Mode" on, and then Lych was "keep healing and let the overheal make them explode". Forget what Vortex's "easter egg" was, I just know that the dude would charge up and inflate before using all that energy to shoot himself forth.

Which is what's happening here!
