I’m continuing my goal of drawing at least one Pokémon from each generation for my Footdex submissions. Looking at gen 7 Pokémon, Hakamo-o and Kommo-o had been claimed by other artists, but not Jangmo-o. So I decided to claim Jangmo-o and do another dragon Pokémon. I forgot that Jangmo-o is a pure dragon type, and its evolutions are dragon-fighting and not dragon-steel despite looking like they’re covered in bling. It gets more confusing since Jangmo-o’s Pokédex entries describes its scales as metallic. And then its Pokémon Shield entry says its “scales” are actually fur that hardened like metal. >< Despite all this confusion about Jangmo-o’s type and whether it has scales or fur, I imagined drawing a Jangmo-o that’s vain and likes having its metallic body polished. So I put a Jamgmo-o in a pedicure scene. I had an idea of a water type being the pedicure worker and spraying Jangmo-o’s foot down, and I chose a Buizel because… I’m not quite sure why. ;P However while drawing, I thought Buizel was standing at too awkward of an angle to be using Water Gun on Jangmo-o’s toe claws, so Buizel is whistling as it works instead. Hopefully that explains why Buizel’s lips are in an O shape.

I still have a gen 3 Pokémon to draw, plus I might draw one of the new megas from Legends ZA…
