He listened to the CD while he showered, music blasting loudly, water running over him and warmly blanketing his skin. Singing along in the noise, he didn't even notice the lights slowly dim, and the sounds of splashing water coming from behind the shower curtain. The shower wasn't the only source of water. As the song changed to that cursed track, he felt the water on his skin cool. A shiver ran down his spine, but not from the suddenly cold water.

He could hear gurgling and guttural noises. The familiar sound of someone drowning, yet not a sound he had ever heard before. Stepping out of the bath, water still running, his heart stopped. The agonised wretching and twisting of the drowning girl reaching through the mirror towards him. Water flooding from the sink, from the mirror, from the bag on her head, from her very skin.  Momentarily aroused at the sight of her perfect and frozen skin, he realised he had also frozen in place. Entranced watching the cursed girl crawl painstakingly towards him.

The next drowning lesson would be his.
