Hippolyte is an "old grandfather" built in 1846. Retired since 1852, he has a new occupation: criticizing the younger locomotives and their way of working. When these younger locomotives encounter problems, Hippolyte is certainly not the one who will give them advices, he lets them sort it out and prefers to laugh at their misfortunes. But apart from that Hippolyte is funny and is the good buddy.
Artist's notes: Hippolyte lost his own tender he doesn't know where. The one he currently has comes from one of his scrapped work colleague. (On this drawing, I choose to draw him with NO tender at all).
