As 7th graders, Casey and Derrick had been best friends their entire lives, the hyperactive dire wolf and melancholic, artistic cattle dog had no reason to think that would change either, even though Casey had been hiding a bad case of Feelings with bad poetry while Derrick did his best to ignore his weird boners by getting more aggressive and a a little bit extra gaymophobic (it was 199x so it was way more acceptable)

When Derrick full on gives Casey a concussion and breaks his glasses during [i]fútbol[/i] practice, the dire wolf boy is willing to do anything to help his totally no-homo best bro (who's banged like, hella girls and thinks up super horny stories while they paw off sitting back to back) not be mad at him. The two boys end up muddy and horny in Derrick's parents' rather fancy shower while Derrick awkwardly tries to narrate a horny story while tuggin' them both off, unaware that the dazed Casey is working up the courage to do something that will result in the two boys refusing to talk to each other for nearly the rest of high school!
