The inscription in the painting only explicitly names the god of wind Fengbo, probably the one carrying a sack, and the god of rain Yu Shi, known for carrying a bowl. Yet since alongside the titles of "master of wind" and "master of rain" the painting also mentions a "master of thunder" and a "master of lightning", we can probably assume the goddess of lightning Dianmu, known for wielding lightning-producing mirrors, and the god of thunder Leigong, probably the one surrounded by drums, are also depicted here.
