These are just old works - so nothing "new" here, but I just wanted to stick all my favorite drawings on one page and see what they had in common. A lot of these are from about 7 years ago, when I was drawing A LOT of scat art that I very much enjoyed. Sure it's gross, but that's the fun part of it :D Skunks are also uber fun to draw with their long tails and curvy stripes.
At my peak moments - which nearly all of these drawings are in my own opinion - I would draw very dense, thin-lined sketches. They were full of lines and just drawing over top of everything without using any other layers. I wanted it to be close to using pencil and paper - but also clean and without having to switch over to a new layer to ink over every line.
The sketch with Scotty Skunkat (2nd one) and my bunny, was a blast as well. I kept it very flexible and open in the beginning. Even changed the position of the arms about half way through it. The characters and everything with the exception of the crazy fluids were drawn on one layer. A lot of times avoiding creating layers kept my work space very simple and allowed me to just focus on the drawing instead of the software I was using which was paint tool sai.

The squirrel orgy (3rd) drawing was something I did separate out on 2 or 3 layers for the fore, middle, and background groups of characters. This drawing was insanely fun!! I challenged myself to see how far I could go with packing squirrels in there ^^

The 4th one with the pup and weasels was just pure toon silliness. I didn't quite refine it all the way though...apparently I got lazy and wanted to stream and draw more....booo :P

The 5th drawing with Pietro and Babs I'm rather proud of XD I had a great time sketching it and figuring it out then I just decided to clean up the whole thing by ghosting it back and refining the lines. Also kept it flexible for as long as I could and added things in as I went along. I worked it from the left side where the feet are to the right where the ears are. Yes, it was one layer, yes, I'm insane. ^^;

The last one with Jaunty squirrel was a crazy experiment. I wanted a squirrel with pointy teef darn it! That drawing became like putty in my hands almost. I changed it up A LOT. Even had different characters in place of the two squirrels at first. Loved drawing those squirrel feet and all those little details.

Drawing can get really fun and very addictive when you find a way that challenges you in the just the right way :)
