h2. Hakii the Snow Otter DILF [Reference]

"I-I didn't think so many guys would be interested in me out here! Back home no really paid me much mind. Here everyone is so friendly and uh... vocal! Ehehe...~ I didn't think I was still a marketable bachelor but, w-well... I guess I have a lot of catching up to do!"
- Hakii

The Koltic Unity is the largest single faction within Gramarya's Collective of the Sovereign Unions. It is a very unique, strong and ancient alliance between eight different arctic and tundral tribes that have existed in harmony so long they now see themselves as one singular people, an extreme rarity among the independent tribes of their planet. Everything from their spiritual beliefs to their runic patterns are notably distinct from the normal Gramaryan style, and they are far more dedicated to their ancestral rituals and practices than most other tribes. The result is an often insular, deeply proud people who take their duties, and their own tribe, very seriously, leading to cultural and social isolation that can make it tricker for Koltic species to adapt to the new, varied world of Athanasy than others.

This is the setting in which Hakii grew up. As a snow otter, his people are one of the oldest and largest groups among the Koltic Unity. Famed for their fishing prowess and keen craftsmanship, as well as their shocking effective talents as scouts and wartime guerilla fighters, Snow Otters tend to be a bit more athletic and intense than their non-arctic counterparts. Hakii doesn't fit this mold. Ever since he was pup, he was a shy, awkward, uncertain otter, who preffered to hide away in his parents tailoring shop than spend time outside with others. However, the tide of social norms caught up with him thanks to his genuine great looks, when a female snow otter who was in the warrior caste happened to cross paths with him.

At the time, both were the perfect age in Koltic culture to mate and have kids, so that's exactly what they did. Hakii didn't think much about it at the time, but he wasn't exactly skilled with her in bed, and after that one and only time, he never really found any urge to seek it out. While the two did have a son together, named Kiiko, they quickly grew apart, and amicably ended their relationship, with Hakii willingly taken on the responsibility of raising Kiiko himself so that his wife could return, unburdened, to her military career.

Hakii truly found his calling in being a father. He proved an excellent dad to Kiiko, guiding him to become a brilliant and well-studied engineer who, thanks to his fathers more unusual and open-minded attitude, went to go and work for the Grayline Organization. Unfortunately, being an empty nester hit the older otter harder than most. Suddenly without the purpose he'd found for 18 years, the otter sank into an isolated depression. Thankfully, however, it didn't last long, as one visit from his son after a few months, allowing him seeing the state his dad was in, changed everything.

Unwillingly to let his beloved father wither away in the darkness of his own room, Kiiko half convinced, half dragged Hakii to Ambershore in order to find a new job with Grayline, as a general assistant. It was nothing glamorous, but it paid well, he was treated well, and more importantly, it forced him to socialize. This sudden hard right turn in his life would come with one very sudden, very unexpected side effect, however. Back in the Koltic territory, Hakii was never really singled out as a datable person. As a single father he was seen as "preoccupied", and after his son left, he was simply too old, as most Koltans marry young and quick, and don't spend too much time in frivolous dating outside pre-established friend circles, of which Hakii was in precious few.

In Ambershore however, Hakii suddenly found himself often at the center of attention. For the first time in his life, he found people constantly coming up to him to socialize, many of them being quite openly flirty in the process. Guys calling him cute, or fun, or adorable, it caused stirring, exciting emotions Hakii had never felt before. Then, one night, it finally hit him like a freight train: He was actually gay. Not only that, but being seen as desirable, be it erotically or simply socially, but other younger men was absolutely thrilling to him!

Despite being 39 now, the move to Ambershore has never made Hakii feel more alive. Though it's a bit scary and nerve-wracking to sudden be thrust into a brand new culture, society, and job at his age, Hakii has decided that he is no longer content with spending his days hidden away in his home. He wants to explore this new world, and these new feelings, and properly make up for all the years he missed out on.~

That is, of course, if he can manage to get over his nerves.~

This idea came to me thanks to a good friend and planted itself deep in my brain until I finally caved and decided to draw him.~ Meet the newest OC on my long, long list of OCs, Hakii! I don't know why it took me this long to come up with the super hot idea of a shy, subby DILF otter, but I love him already and can't wait to do more with him.~

As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated!~
