The first piece in a series featuring Talbot Hawthorne, my Black-Tailed Deer OC and the living definition of "more than meets the eye". See if you can figure out what he's up to over time - before he figures you out.

I struggled in my attempts to draw his head/snout in a front-facing manner without him looking like a person with antlers, so unfortunately I kind of fell into that "every furry OC is a dog but with X trait from the animal it's supposed to be" trap, and gave him those weird little frills on his jaw.

Fortunately, as you will soon see in later pieces I did, I managed to master his front-facing position while keeping him distinctly Deer.
