Story:
The mothman and the frenso nightcrawler are roommates in an apartment in Cryptid City. One evening, mothman decides to meet up with wendigo and jersey devil to find out what his Fear Factor is. In the dark, he has potential, but as soon as he enters the light, he looks more cute and floofy than spooky. The other cryptids aren't impressed, but seeing how upset mothman is, they decide to help him by... giving him a new look. Later that night, nightcrawler comes home to find mothman completely shaved of his floof. Mothman hates it.
I have more with Mothman and the Nightcrawler from a story I'm writing, and thought this time of year was perfect to animate this little clip. If you're curious to see more of this story, let me know in the comments!

[/quote] yeah! cut the man some slack, it’s not even like folks are gonna get a clear look at him anyway with how he’s perching on top of bridges and zipping around otherwise. besides… horror’s very dependent on context. you might say “aww!” now but wait until it catches you in the dead of night on some backwater trail and starts gliding from tree to tree behind you, its huge eyes and pupils locked with yours when you turn back to face it, all while it’s squeaking some forgotten dialect to itself.
To be fair, the entire concept of a shadowy creature stalking you through the darkness is highly dependent on your imagination to begin with. He's not supposed to be terrifying *looking* just terrifying through anticipation.
