Chip Canary grew up with a family of crop dusters. Before his teens, his father discovered Chip’s unusual affinity towards flying machines to a point where Chip could even understand and execute dangerous and advanced maneuverers even for a seasoned pilot. With few favors, his parents sent him to the Cornerian Flight Academy at a young age to get the best chance of a great future in spaceflight. He baffled officers, but some felt threatened by his quick progression in training and held him back. Frustrated by this obstacle, he left the flight academy to join Crimson Fox, much to the dismay of his parents.

He is very boastful of his flying skill not realizing the headaches it brings to the team. In the end, he enjoys extreme fun and videogames as an enjoyable experience and a training tool, which Nora disapproves.
