I wanted to figure out what the cost of this digestion would be to Zipp's frame... > The total-body caloric density of a healthy pony is probably around 1.7\~1.9 Mcal/kg (specifically, 1,830 Calories per kilogram with a fit body fat percentage of 10%), with a range of 200\~450 kg depending on breed and stockiness. > > This gives: 366,000 \~ 823,000 Calories for healthy or fit ponies. > > Severely obese ponies at 35% body fat might reach 3,450 C/kg, and from what I can see the most obese ponies can get to about 540 kg, giving us a whopping 1,841,000 Calories for the chungusiest ponies. > > Bonus calculation: that'd be a weight gain of 520 pounds... interesting. (drumroll, please!) . .. ... ***90 pounds*** which becomes 78,000 Calories... which is equivalent to 134 Big Mac burgers!
