It is sort of a meaningless and silly tag regardless of what you think. That's why nobody really uses it.
Personally I think it's just a matter of people not knowing the tag exists to tag it properly. It's a vague name by itself and even I had to go searching for a bit just to find an image with it again because I forgot it. Anyway, I was just trying to be helpful. I assumed it was an honest mistake instead of a choice. I don't want to argue over this.

But some people just genuinely don't know that a dog penis works differently than a human penis, such as the artist in the comments for https://e621.net/posts/5622307 asking how they never knew that when it was pointed out to them. And if that was the case for you too then it would be a helpful heads up if it was only done out of ignorance rather than a conscious choice. I don't find it to be an irrelevant or silly tag, though the tag name definitely could be better, as it can really stand out for people who prefer anatomical correctness, like people who wouldn't want to see a clit at the bottom of the slit rather than the top for example.
Cool story, don't think you can look at my art and say it was made with those who hold anatomical correctness in mind though. At least I would hope not, because it isn't and won't ever be lol. It's clear that my stuff is high fantasy and cartoony to begin with. My wife (the person the drawing is actually for) and I find the way it's drawn to be more visually appealing. Unless it's a comm, I be drawing things however I want. People actually paying me can nitpick and change whatever they want -3-
If it's a personal artistic choice, then do you. Where pee/cum comes out is from the tapered part at the very top. The tag description for "misplaced urethra" explains it in more detail. So to be more accurate the pee stream would have to be move up/left diagonally a few inches.
I don't find such irrelevant and silly tags to be important.
