I'm gonna be fair, Sylvester Stallone is "hit-or-miss" when it comes to long speeches. Maybe the "shoeshine box" story would have been a more effective base for reasoning with a mouse girl 100 times his size? If that worked, she'd at least just respond with something akin to the famous "you [s]used to[/s] fit right here" speech.
