Today I wanted to do something a little different and talk directly with you for a moment. I usually like to frame my images around a scene or a small narrative, but this one came from a very specific spark, and I felt like sharing where that spark came from.

Some time ago, I came across a comic called Spliced by Alpha Sabre. I first read it in black and white, and the themes really stayed with me. Without spoiling anything, it plays with transformation and with expectations being turned on their head in a way that feels bold, playful, and very confident. That idea of contrast, especially when presence and confidence shift in unexpected ways, is something I’ve always found incredibly hot and interesting to explore.

This image was generated based on that inspiration. Later on, I did get to see the colored version of the comic and realized my color choices didn’t match. By then, though, the piece already had its identity, and I was happy to let it stand as a personal take rather than a direct recreation. Think of it as inspired by a vibe rather than tied to a specific reference.

What really does it for me here is that sense of presence. A character who knows exactly how much space he takes, who owns it without hesitation, and who isn’t shy about being seen. That contrast between expectation and confidence is something I never get tired of playing with.
