Part 7. P2 Exploring The Wilds. The Hunters Are Hunted. NSFW (Mature) After getting up on fours quickly. I turned to see the foxes both seemed to notice the noises. And with bit of animal noises the one in the back was just what i wanted to do. It seemed to turn and quickly sprinted to running towards the noise up the hill. With one less guard. This was the chance to get the only one on post. I slowly but quickly made my way through the undergrowth and close enough to the fox i felt like was ready to pull my move. Tam and Tod were still huddled around their kids while the fox kept a eye on them and around. When i was near. I made the choice. “KILL IT!” I chittered loudly in a shout as i rushed ran from few feet away to jump on the fox side, digging my sharp claws into their side and back as i went for their neck with my teeth biting the back of their neck to hold on. Tam and Tod were bit taken back. But Tam understood there seemed to be no other choice. And soon she jumped in before the fox could move much after i jumped on it’s back yapping loudly. She jumped after their underside neck to go for the throat pulling down and gripping with her claws to hold on. “ATTACK!” Mike shouted and soon the little ones all joined in besides Jim who stayed back with Tod for a moment. The little ones rushed to attack the foxes feet as they struggled to shake the two adult raccoons off them. But after the little ones were involved i soon stumbled from the little ones ripping their feet up and biting hard. Tod soon jumped in after the fox hit the ground yipping loudly for help it seemed and went straight for the eyes. While after the fox fell on it’s sides i started pulling back with my mouth to rip large chunks of fur out and flesh, digging deeper to their spine. Tam did similar with ripping the throat apart fastly to shush the fox. Which soon only it’s coughing could be heard as it was struggling to breath with blood flowing inside it’s windpipe. Tod grabbed a eye with his mouth and pulled it out throwing it behind to rip the other one out. It wasn’t to long before we all managed to make the fox’s body soon stop moving. Blood on our paws, mouth, body as we stopped when the body was not moving anymore. “Taste of Victory!” Lee shouted. But Tam and Tod looked to them and shhhed them. Ears from us all perked as we could start hearing quick brush noises coming. “The fox and others are coming. Lets hit to our trail Tam was leading. But then shift to go to the river. The wind is going their way. So they’ll track us well. If we hit the river we can loose them upwind.” I said. “Sounds like a plan. Follow me Ringtail. Tod get Jim. We’re gonna move fast. So Mark and Lee. Time to show us your speed kids.” Tam said and before short she took off down the dirtroad. Mark and Lee nodded to themselves and took off after her as i followed. Tod wasn’t to far after picking Jim up with his bloody mouth. Kimmy was always on their trail. After we got a fair distance away as we ran. Our ears twisted back as we could hear yip cries into the sky like shouts of rage or something. It seemed the fox gang found their dead partner in crime killed by bunch of raccoons. It wasn’t a pretty sight to do. But it was needed. We didn’t stop to see or listen if they were chasing us. My guess was largely they would. Foxes on our trail with good noises, Raccoon that likely was there as some voice way or smarts due to hands ability, and possums to forage for supplies. They didn’t seem like the common hunters. But if Tam was right. It might’ve been a bait show for something. But i wasn’t gonna have this family get taken for whatever it was. I’ve already dealt with a pet raccoon trying to help people do bad things. Ripping their arm up when they decide to stick their hand in my crate to give me the middle finger. Hopefully that made that one learn a hard less of not sticking their arm into a cage who could rip that middle finger off and throw it back at them. Once we got on we headed east to the river. Our little forms dodging the growth as we weaved around bushes, trees, rocks, and so on. “Go go go.” I mentioned as i figured they’d probably be following. “I know a tree by the river we can climb on. Might be useful. It’s bit up north. But it’s large that the foxes can’t climb. But if they have a raccoon or possum with them they might follow.” Tam said while running lead. “They aren’t grayfoxes so they won’t be the best of climbers like us. And if we only caught wiff of 2 possums and a raccoon. We out number them. Though possums are still pretty powerful on their bite. But i highly doubt they’d be willing to take on 3 adults and 3kids. But i don’t wanna risk your kids getting hurt. If they find we ran up a tree we’d be pretty screwed since they’d have the advanage to surround us till even more of their friends show up. My only theory we could do. And most of you won’t like it. Is river rafting it. They’re gonna know were running along the river to lose the scent trail with the water washing off our scent. So. But they’ll still try to follow it up north knowing we’d be heading back to the city. Only way we can avoid them following since the foxes are much faster. Is by going at them. Avoiding them while their following the river up, we really go along the river south to east more.” I mentioned. “You’re crazy Ringtail. But you’re right. Kids you guys up for a swim?” Tam said questioning her younglings. “HECK YEA!” “Let’s go rafting!” “IF Creamy’s going i will!” “Ok!” The four chittered. Tod ughed under his mouth as he still held Jim in it. “Tod you’re gonna have to hold Jim for awhile. Looks like we’re gonna take a dip.” Tam said as we continued running soon seeing the river ahead and listening to the water rush. “We can’t jump in just yet. But i’m sure the foxes are gonna be on our tails just a moment. We’ll have to keep following up the river. But i got another idea. We’re gonna play tag with your tree if it’s not to far from our location. We’ll pretend to walk into the river, then walk to the tree and scratch it abit. Then we will walk on our last footprints back into the river and ride it. Once we start seeing the foxes we need to dive down and ride it for a good few bits. Everyone can hold breath for about a minute yes?” I said. “Sounds like a plan.” Tam said. “Dude’s got some black ops tactics going on! I like this guy!” Mark chuckled. “Yes this is kinda fun!” Lee mentioned. “I knew Creamy would be awesome! I got a nose!” Kimmy chuckled. Once we arrived. Tam, Me, And the others stopped to look back. We tuned our ears to look back and listen. It was faint but we could hear some tumbling and brush noises from the distance. “K dip into the water. Rush the tree, scratch it like you're climbing up really quick, Jump off. Then follow your tracks back into the water you came from. Let’s go.” I mentioned. We soon got to work on it. After we all dipped into the river. I stopped to listen. The foxes thumping rushing feet could be heard closing in. They were really close now. I nodded as i backed up quickly into the river bed with the others and soon let the waves of rushing water sweep us off our feet. After a moment we all dugged under water as we floated down the river past the foxes. About 10mins riding the waves of the river. We soon got off far south of it’s path near what seemed to smell of a human settlement building. Everyone shook off the water on our fur and checked everyone. Jim got put down by Tod trying to shake off to and brush off the water on them. “That was pretty wreckless Ringtail. But you know what. Was kinda awesome. That switcheroo move was really good idea. Out smarted by a raccoon. Those foxes are probably really pissed down. Least we also got the blood washed off our snouts to. So i guess that works.” He said. “Don’t think i didn’t see you rubbing your face on that tree and butt scent marking it Tod. Just for that extra stick smell.” Tam said. “Hey i thought it’d work well. And it probably did.” Tod mentioned. “Let’s get to the human building to rest up. We need to dry off quickly or we’ll freeze. And the little ones are in worse shape to get sick from this than us.” I was saying till we all turned hearing a splash shake. “I gotta admit that was a neat trick on my comrades. But i had a sneaking feeling someone decide to pull a switch back move. So i followed the river. And who do i see. A family of goofs. Nice try. But won’t get far away that easily.” Said another raccoon who seemed to followed us in the river. “Stay away from my family. We didn’t do anything to you guys.” Tam snarled. Tod slowly followed with similar beside her. The kids behind and me not to far from their side. “Didn’t do anything?! You just killed my partner’s brother! You’re gonna regret that. If you think i can’t take you on. You are mistaken me.” The stranger said. I walked around and stood sideways up showing a defensive pose at the other coon. “Go back in the water and get washed off. We were just on a foraging trip to enjoy the night. No harm till your fox friends decide to be stupid. It’s not our fault he had to get killed. If you didn’t cage the family. He’d still be alive if you just stayed with your car toy in the middle of the road.” I told. “You’re quite big. You a cousin of theirs? Na. You’re not that far off in age. So that means you aren’t related to them. What’s your deal here hmm?” “I said LEAVE….US…..ALONE…..” I snarled. “To late. On my turf now bud.” “You’re on ours apparently. IF you really think you can take on 3 adults and 3 kids who wanna taste raccoon flesh. Try it.” I said. “Mmmm. I’d be a pleasure to enjoy some meatballs.” They were saying before soon we all got lit up by a large bright light that made us all glance back for a moment. “Frick. Stupid human….” The stranger growled. “Peace.” I grumbled as i turned and used a hind foot to kick a load of dirt in the face of the stranger raccoon by digging my claws into the door like shovel and throwing my foot back to toss it. Then i turned to run off. “Move!” I mentioned quickly to Tam as i ran past her. She followed with her kids as the spot light of the human switched from us to the loner. Who was gonna chase for a moment before the dirt in their face stopped them long enough for us to rush towards the human’s building side. When we got by the building, We suddenly heard a loud BANG. “HUNTER.” Tam mentioned. “Shhhhh.” I said and nosed for us to follow the edge of the house building quickly taking the lead. Tod regrabbed Jim in the whole ordeal and held him as he followed along quietly. The kids stayed close as we continued to round the house to the front. We couldn’t see the wave of light but the bright lights of the front of the house would surely expose us. But we had no choice. “Let’s head south west from here, maybe we can find a place to hide for the time being.” I said and nodded for them to follow. Soon i darted quickly ahead trying best to avoid the large area lights of the house. The family followed behind as we got distance on the home. Passing the dirt road leading to the owner of the house and down the brush to the trees in the distance. But we soon saw another building but it didn’t look like any building tied to a human house. So i ran to it. Once we made it to the building i managed to find a crack big enough for us to slip in and hide inside. It was pretty empty besides some old lawn equipment scattered around. I soon took a rest to lay down in a soft corner away from the entrance point. Along with the family who laid on down to for a rest. “THAT WAS SO COOL!” Mark told. “Kimmy’s got a eye for people with excitement!” Lee said. Kimmy chuckled. “Creamy’s cool.” she said. Jim getting set back down shook off and huddled by his mother Tam who groomed him to dry him off better. Tod wasn’t as happy as he came to sit down with a growl. “Thanks….” He simply told. “I’m sorry….It was the only thing i could…..” I was saying before Tam snapped up and snarled. “Shut it Ringtail. You did the right thing. Those jerks deserved that. Sure we lost our foraging trip. But not like we can’t continue later. It’s just how the wild works.” She told. “One thing i don’t get is why that guy shot. I never seen that local before fire their gun. We passed their play many times and all we got was ‘All such a cute family.’.” Tam questioned. “Maybe the jerk tried attacking the human? Stupid move but i guess. Hopefully they don’t see your little ones as a threat due to his crap.” I mentioned. “Could be. Let’s all take a rest for now.” Tam mentioned. Everyone kinda flopped on their bellies and stretched. “What a run.” Tod hmphed. For awhile we all kinda relaxed for bit and groomed about to clean ourselves up. It was nice to relax for a moment and dry off-clean off the river water from our fur and rest. After about 30mins to almost a hour. Tam soon stood up with a stretch and shook her body. “K. You guys wanna continue foraging, or make our waves up the river to home? We can probably order something since we got our outing bit mixed up from thieves.” Tam questioned. “Let’s go find those dumb foxes and eat them!” Mark got in a defense pose with a soft snarl. “I’m good for whatever!” Lee said. “OH Can we eat at the Fun-Place?!” Kimmy questioned. “Food at home.” Jim said lightly. “Mark no. I think Tam we should head back to town.” Tod mentioned. “Ringtail?” Tam questioned. “This is your trip. But i think for the safety of you guys we should return. I don’t think they would be stupid to invade the city limits.” I said. “Then it’s settled. Jim you get to ride mommy’s back. We’re gonna be bit fast pace this time so we can cross the stream. I know a way to get on the otherside without getting wet. There’s a small log bridge north. We’ll take that and use it to head back to town. Let’s move.” Tam said and Tod helped Jim up onto Tam’s back who gripped on. Mark, Lee, and Kimmy once again followed their mom out of the crack we entered the build. I soon followed after and Tod again held the rear as we darted in the night again following Tam who lead us into the wild once again. It was a bit of a jog as we ran past the house, up the river a bit and across. Then into town after hour of trekking. But once we got there. Something was really surprising happened. When we started walking on the main stretch to the Fun-Place to go enjoy some food. Two foxes and 2 possums were standing in the middle looking around. “Wait. Isn’t that.” I was saying before Tam stopped. “....Why are they here.” She questioned. The Quad animals were causing quite a noise when other animals around were telling them to leave. But since the foxes, possums didn’t have translators only the possums were arguing with other possum who was trying to tell them to go from looks of it. But it wasn’t to soon before another crab eating fox dashed past us and over to the two with snarls. A few other animals soon started also slowly converging on them. “MOM!” Suddenly another shout said as they rushed over to stop beside their mother with a small harness pack on their back. “What you guys doing back so soon?” Jan questioned. “We ran into some trouble. And those are the problem.” Tam said nosing with her snout to the two foxes and white eared possums being yelled at. “Them? Why?” Jan questioned. “Their thieves. Baiters.” Tam said. And seemed a Raccoon by the group heard Tam mentioned thieve baiters and soon started snarling at the 4. Which soon caused a bit of a uproar with others around. “TAM! WATCH OUT!” Someone shouted as a crab fox seemed to saw us and figured it was us before they bolted past the blockage of animals to jump over and rush at our group. The fox soon snatched Tam up with their mouth before getting side rolled on stepping on another raccoon beside us which wasn’t of Tam’s family, causing the fox to tumbled, throwing Tam into the air to flop land ontop of the fox belly. The surrounding creatures soon took this as a threat attack and many started piling on the creature ripping parts of them as much as possible off. Tam included as she went for the throat to rip chunks of flesh off. The other crab fox tried to get past the block. But soon the other crab guard fox jumped to grab their neck and slam them to the floor. The possums tried to wiggle to help the fox trying to get piled on. But soon other creatures started piling on the two possums tearing into them. “Oooww. Fricken dumb fox.” The raccoon grumbled at the one that got tripped on and soon started going for the fox of the face tearing their eyes out. Mice and rats went into the foxes ears to chew them from the inside. One even went into their crying yap mouth to start ripping their throat from inside up. Possums grabbed their belly and pulled large skin chunks off. It was a blood bath. I could only see from just few feet away with Tod and the kids. Tod managed to recover Jim who got flung with their mother but managed to quickly rush off the whole dog-pile attack over to his dad. The 2 other kids decide after to join the supposed ‘fun’ and ripped into the fox also. While Me, Tod, Jim, Kimmy kinda stepped back out of the chaos. “Uh….Well now I know the community here is quite. Defensive.” I said as i sat down like a good distance away with them. “This happened like 2 other times before. Spunky thieve feral group tried to get into town to steal people. Must be part of some kinda of thing. I don’t know what, but whatever it been. They failed. I guess this must be the other fox bother or brothers who you killed at the dirt road who tried to hold us up.” Tod said. “They smell similar yeah.” I mentioned. Soon the guard crab eating fox came walking over and tossed 2 translator down by our feet giving a yap. “She must wanna talk with us.” Tod mentioned and grabbed it to put on their ear. I did similar. “You two involved with these creeps?” She questioned. “What’d they say they were hear for?” I questioned. “We were just on a foraging trip and got gate trapped by some foxes holding up at the end of the ridge down south.” Tod told. “They said some outside forest raccoons that smelt of this city came and attacked and killed their brother. They wanted them to come out so they could be dealt with. Looking for blood. We told them that isn’t a thing for inner city limits. Ferals are kept in the woods if they wish. But inside our cities we are peaceful. We would do what is needed if so. But they kept telling us no.” The fox told and looked to Tod. “So you guys were. But they were thieves? What do you know?” She questioned. “I don’t know what they were. All we know is we tried to follow our path to the pond we were going to and got caught offguard when 2 foxes came out of no where. Looking to tell us to stay.” Tod said. “We did hear a car running before we ran into the foxes. It smelt like possums, foxes, and a raccoon. It sounded like they were messing with a human vehicle at the dirt road before the crossing on the ridge.” I told. The fox reared it’s head. “Snatchers…..No wonder.” She said. “Snatchers?” I questioned. “It’s a gory detail. But they steal animals to skin. Then use that to give to humans to sell for a price. But it’s not be heard of around here. Must be neighboring city animals south’s plans. I’ll have to talk with the larger city about this.” They said. “Do you really think they’d be that?” Tod questioned. “By what your friend said. You heard it to yes? A car bait with animals is a trick to lure them in. It’s mostly smaller animals rather than foragers because some carnivores like a easy meal and humans tend to have that. Or a dead human could be a good treat of left overs. But it’s a sign sometimes when animals lead a bait tactic.” She told. “I did to. We thought they’d be thieves. Normally something to get out of us or force us to give to them.” Tod said. “It could be. But way these guys came in. They wanted blood for a raccoon family that killed their brother. My guess is you guys defended yourself off from their hold?” She asked. “Uh….Yes.” Tod said. “No other way we could. So we disabled them. Might’ve went to far. But yeah.” I said. “Don’t be ashamed. You did the right thing. It can be bloody in the wild. But these animals are worse at times. Anyways. I must go and inform some people of this. You can tell your family Tod to head off and get cleaned up. I think you guys were off on a foraging trip? Must be hungry. So please enjoy a meal where’ever. We’ll handle this problem. Coms back if you will be nice.” The fox said and kneeled as she waited for the coms on our ears to be placed infront of her. Which we did. Then they scooped them up in their mouth and ran off. The hoard of animals piled up 4x more as it seemed like lot of people enjoyed the taste for blood and a good ripping. “TAM COME ON. LET'S GET SOME NONE BLOODY FOOD.” Tod shouted. And after a few moments Tam and her kids came out walking over all covered in blood. “Fine. Let's go get cleaned up kids.” Tam said shaking a little body off. “THAT DUDE DESERVED IT. Mmmm Taste of victory!” Mark hmphed. “Yup. Better than owning someone online. Mmmm Can really taste that victory.” Lee said. “Kids really have the taste for rippage.” I mentioned to Tod who rolled his eyes as he walked off. Tam once again leading the way to walk down to the Fun-Place. “Are they gonna let 3 raccoons in covered in blood from head to toe?” I questioned. “No. But there is a public wash nearby. We can get washed up and dried pretty quickly. Then we can let the kids have fun while we eat bit.” Tam mentioned. The 7 of us soon turned and walked on down the stretch of road to avoid the conflict of scavengers going on with the 4bodies. Some others avoided the scene while others kinda joined in. It was like watching a movie with aliens piling over a wounded human and eating them while still alive. Expect this was more of 2foxes and 2 white ear possums that decide to walk into the wrong city to screw with. “This town really knows how to ‘clean up’ someone, don’t they?” I questioned after glancing back a few times. “Some people gotta eat. It’s food never the less.” Tam said licking their muzzle a bit. “Between humans. She can be scary sometimes. But i would’ve been scared if this happened to me on first day coming to the world. Sight of bunch of animals piling on a body like that all blood throwing in the air and pool of blood forming around. I might’ve pissed right there or fainted.” Tod said. “The scene just instantly reminded me of those horror movies where there’s a huge blood pile and aliens, demons, or some whatever crap comes over and just starts going bonkers on the body. Throwing body parts about as it gores into the flesh deeper into the person or thing.” I said. “Exactly! Crazy.” Tod said. “Anyways. You guys go in pick a spot. We’ll get cleaned up and join you later.” Tam said as we reached over near the Fun-Place entrance. Tam, Mark, and Lee all followed their mother to a distance building. While me, Tod, Jim, and Kimmy all waited in line for abit to get in. About 5mins later we walked in and sat at a open booth table to finally relax. Jim and Kimmy ran off to play in the kiddy playground while Me and Tod just kinda sat silently for a moment. Part 7. P3 Back to Safe For Work. The Relief Rest.

Next Part will return back to SFW. As the family runs into the conflict of the fox thieves and group. They managed kill one and flee. But not without others chasing their tails. With bit of help from Ringtail they managed to narrowly escape by river-rafting down a river. Only for a raccoon to smart follow and meet them at the end by a farm human land building. But after the little appearance of a human shining a flashlight. It stuns the group for a moment before escaping, While the human takes cares of the chasing raccoon who unknown to them likely attacked the human and got killed. Once they make it back to the city almost all chaos breaks loose as 2 more fox thieves and possums end up meeting them there that cause some problems. Interesting the town takes notice and gives the group a taste of their own stuff. This was bit short live on the outdoor wilds. But i wanted to show how the wild world can have it's own sides of conflicts. Making it show that even the outside wild-life world can still have it's tricks from these far smarter wild animals living among the world. Some being thieves, others doing things that are just wrong, or living as a dangerous hunting game among other smart ferals about. The world is not as safe or easy.
