He doesn't expect to discover that a lot has happened in the last fifteen years while Mobotropolis was closed off. Dr. Robotnik is still alive, and goes by Dr. Eggman? He has a daughter? There was a Metal Virus? He's caring for the hero, who has memory problems? And why can't he meet him? And... why is this strangely caring version of the doc so... intriguing?

As Manic searches for answers, he finds himself questioning more about himself and what he truly wants out of life.[/i]

Manic recalls the situation Dr. Eggman informed him about, and decides that if he can't see the sick hero, he might as well take some time to learn about the city itself.
