He couldn't hold on.

This time felt so much different than the others. Jack had grown so addicted to the dronification process but his will was always so durable that he'd slip out once the training was complete. He remembered the configurations he was molded into before.

He remembered the Drone suit.
He remembered being a glorified butler.
He remembered being an X5 Drone
He remembered even being a Leashlord

But this time, the tendril slithered into his ears. and there was a weight off his shoulders. He didn't want to be anything. he didn't want to worry about anything else. No more lion. no more recognition. The drone coating slithered into his brain, curled around it. helping his hand move to salute.

His expression faded. what normally would have been the throes of ecstasy was now a stoic attention. his hair flattened into the rubber muscle. eyes disappeared. the tongue slithered out from the suit and gripped the top of the thermium and started to pull down.

whatever this version of the droning process was, it was smarter than him, had a better strategy to put him in his place. He shivered. another three inches slithered into his rear. the tongue pulled its coating over his nose, the fluid slithered into his nostrils, forming a passageway to his lungs so the mouth could be stuffed with a simulacrum of the master's shaft. down past the vocal cords.

It would speak for him. it would display for him. it would receive thoughts and orders for him. all he had to do... was not exist. a compelling offer.

and for once, that seemed preferable.

Jack and I had to give ourselves a little distance, but this was commissioned a while back. It was a last gift he made for me. Which I appreciate deeply.

Orca Drones came a long way thanks to his efforts.  I won't forget that.
