[i]A meal can be a simple thing... Some subsist happily on plain rice and salted chicken breast. Others demand complexity and perfection in their palette... But one thing both sides agreed on?[/i]

[i]...cooking was hard.[/i]

[i]The preparation, understanding specifics, knowing the ingredients in and out for safety and flavour, improvising when something was off, mixing, stirring, MAKING...![/i]

[i]It was no wonder that a feast wasn't piled high onto the table every single night... A chef, even a demon chef, could only do so much with her two paws. She often found herself looking back on a meal she once prepared, but was lofty enough that taking time away to put it all together was... Well... Hard![/i]

[i]...at least, if she did it alone.[/i]

[i]The bird was peeled and plucked, the organs skewered and basted, the skin braised and the eyes scooped for jelly. She was still screaming when she was shoved into the oven, bloodied sockets and all... The perfect spice for a turkey dinner.

[i]When all was complete, Autumn swiped her arm over her forehead and nodded approvingly at the steaming dish in front of her. Then, she put a large cover on it, and hefted one side... Nox, the Gardevoir maid, hefted the other...[/i]

[i]"Thanks, Nox... I always want to do things as good as this... But who has the time?"[/i]

[i]"Of course, Autumn~ I feel the same way, after all! But when we combine forces... Ah, I can't wait to see their faces..."[/i]

[i]The two giggled softly and carried their bird out towards the dinner table without any more delay... The mouth watering scent of their creation had already seeped into every corner, and stomachs were growling hungrily.[/i]
