Casey was alone, playing Animal Crossing in his small, somewhat messy apartment. Everything, but the switch was silent. Then he heard his phone ring, interrupting his experience. He got his phone, and looked to see who called. The caller was a close friend of his, Caroline.

"Hello," Casey said.

"Hi, I've turned into something and want to inform you before going back home," Caroline said, but something was off. The voice was not Caroline's, Casey slightly worried that something happened to her. Maybe this was just some joke she making up.

"Is this a joke? You sound nothing like Caroline," Casey said, hoping that there will be an honest answer.

"No this isn't a joke, I'm Caroline….I….I remember when you...uh" Caroline said, "Remember when you….. showed me your museum in animal crossing today, the only fish you didn't have was an oarfish."

Casey widened his brown eyes and said, "well did I show you that, but why do you have the voice of a dude?" Casey was confused, he didn't know how Caroline could keep using that voice for so long. Casey didn't know Caroline's abilities, but he thought he would've known this by now.

"It's because I got turned into some dude and now my voice is different," Caroline explained. That wasn't possible and this was an elaborate joke, Casey thought. He guessed he could go along with it, just in case it wasn't a joke.

"If it makes you feel better, you are still a beautiful woman to me," Casey said, hoping it'll make Caroline feel better.

"Thanks, but... I...uh... don't want to be called a girl anymore," Caroline confessed. Casey was even more confused.

"Ummm... ok… you are a good-looking person," Casey said. He wasn't completely sure if it was a joke. The sudden change in gender seemed absurd to him, since Caroline showed no issues about their gender before.

"Thanks, ...uh…Casey? Sorry... my head hurts," Caroline said, "....also, can I talk to Prosciutto."

Casey raised an eyebrow, he asked "Who's that?" Casey never heard of a man named Prosciutto. Casey wonders if Caroline doing a stupid joke, or she's going insane.

"Prosciutto is my...uh... work partner," Caroline tried to explain. A work partner? Casey didn't talk much about work, but why would Casey have Prosciutto nearby if he didn't know him?

"I haven't heard of Prosciutto," Casey said, "Caroline is this a joke?"

"No, and also my name is Pesci," Pesci said.

"Uhhhh, so there's a man who I don't know, named Prosciutto," Casey said, confused by this whole situation.

Pesci's word's became foreign. Casey couldn't understand him, and felt something was wrong. Even if it could be a big joke, the possible consequences of not being there outweighed the possible embarrassment. Casey typed in his nearby computer, and google translated words to understand that Pesci is speaking Italian and was confused. Using google translate he said the Italian version of "just stay here," then hung up the phone. He didn't hesitate to get his slight chubby body up and get to his car, he didn't even comb up his messy, black hair. Once he got to his blue, clearly used car and saw something in it.

In the passenger seat is a purple necklace, with a shiny, golden P attached to it. It gave off an odd feeling, like an invisible aura. Casey forgot that he found it while he walked right by the aged train tracks, with no one nearby to claim the necklace as theirs. He decided that he could use it to make him easy to identify, he texted who was once Caroline about the necklace. He then started up the car, and finally drove off quickly as he legally can to the beach.

While he was focused on the road, Casey felt something crawl around his neck. It was the fabric on his own shirt, before it separated and darkened into a black choker. His neck felt somewhat weird and warm, as it thinned a bit. His vocal chords shifted, which made him make choking noises. "What is…" he said, before noticing it wasn't his voice he was hearing. He tried to ignore it, because he was driving and couldn't keep his attention off the road. The strange sensation came up to his face.

His face felt warm and tingly, his face cringed at the strange feeling. Then a loud cracking noise was made, as his lower jaw became more angular. He felt a pain in his upper jaw, as his upper teeth became prominent. Casey cringed again as his nose shifted, but he still continued on.

Casey's eyes watered as they stung, they turned from brown to dark blue. He stopped at the stoplight, looking at the rearview mirror he noticed his eyes. This confirmed the fact that he's transforming. He was aware he needed to rush, his foot was ready to be off the brake.

Casey continued to wait at the stoplight, and he felt the time fly by. He felt a stinging sensation in his scalp, as the roots of his black hair turned blond. After what felt an eternity, the stoplight turned green. Casey took his foot off the brake and drove the fastest he could. The blond color spread through his hair, as his hair lengthened and became neater. His hair moved around, and put itself into 4 hair ties. He was running out of time, but at least he left his town, and a little closer to the beach.

Casey felt a pain in his spine, his torso lengthened. The sudden growth made him uncomfortable in his own seat. He felt a burning feeling on his torso, as it slimmed down to a thinner look. Though he gained a slight bit of muscle, his torso was lithe. His red shirt started to turn dark purple, and gain a white line pattern. It stretched down longer. Then a ripping sound could be heard, as it split cleanly in the middle. His shirt didn't stop there, the shirt also grew a yellow undershirt, which opened at the chest area.

The sleeves of Casey's shirt extended, even going too long for his arms. He then felt pain in his arm, before snapping sounds can be heard. His arms lengthened, the sudden change messed with his steering. He tried to adjust the steering wheel to get back to the right direction, which was hard since he felt a burning sensation in his arms. They lost the fat on his arms, and gained a small bit of muscle in return. He gripped the wheel tighter, as he felt a tense pain in his hand. His hand slightly broadened, as his fingers lengthened. He readjusted his hands to accommodate for the changes. He gripped the wheel, his teeth clenched in stress. His time was running out.

Casey's legs felt an internal pain, before they made cracking sounds as they lengthened. The abrupt lengthening of his legs, made him accidentally hit the gas. "F*ck," he yelled out. He took his foot off the gas, and tried to slow the car down. He felt a burning feeling as his legs thinned, and gained a small bit of muscle. His light blue shorts turned darker and became a purple hue. They lengthened to fit his legs, as they gained a pattern of white lines. He ignored his previous actions, and pressed the gas. He had nothing to lose.

Casey's sneakers altered; as the laces melted into the shoe, not a trace left of them. They lengthened and it turned dark grey, except for a golden pattern on top of the shoe, and the heel of it. He felt a pain in his feet before they lengthened, fitting the shoes. Fortunately, or unfortunately, his physical transformation was complete. The sun seemed like it was falling down, as it was about to set. At least he saw the sign by Sun Sand Beach, with Pesci standing right by.

Casey opened the door with no hesitation, and rushed out without closing it. He fell while trying to run, due to his new height. He pulled his thin body off the ground, and then carefully walked the fastest he could. Pesci noticed a familiar guy walking up to him.

He ran up to Casey and yelled "Prosciutto!" before he talked about how glad he was to him. Casey didn't know Italian, so Pesci's words were not understandable.

Casey held Pesci's face, then he said "You are not Pesci, I know that you are Caroline. I know you are still there." Pesci told Casey that he didn't understand him. Casey still knew there was not a sign of Caroline, but he continued to talk.

"Caroline please you are in there, you just have transformed. Where is the girl that I used to know? I'll try to bring up an old memory, remember when you…" he said. He drew a blank, his memories were fading. He feared that his mind was being messed with too.

Casey rubbed Pesci's neck, and said in a desperate tone "Caroline, Caroline, Carolesci." That wasn't right, it was too late. Tears welled up in his eyes, and started to fall. A close friend might be a lost cause, and he was going to meet the same fate. His old self crumbled away, to leave room for Prosciutto.

Before Casey lost himself and his understanding of English, he said in a somber voice, tears flowing from his eyes, "Goodbye Caroline..."

The sun setted, the sky became enveloped in darkness. Prosciutto's hands were on Pesci's neck. For a brief moment, he was still. Prosciutto then woke from this frozen state, and asked Pesci where he was. Pesci, with concern growing within him, told him that he didn't know either. Prosciutto looked up, then looked around. This place was not familiar to Prosciutto, and the text on the sign was not in Italian.

Pesci then asked Prosciutto if they should go back to Italy, he didn't like being in a foreign country. Prosciutto answered by saying that they should stay, because a gut feeling is telling him that there must be a reason to be around. Pesci somewhat doubted it, but he knew he couldn't disagree.

Prosciutto then proposed the idea to call the other members. He then searched for his phone, but it wasn't in his suit. Prosciutto then pointed to Pesci's bag, asking if there's a phone in it. Pesci looked through the bag, he pulled out a rectangular device. Pesci handed it over to Prosciutto, and said that it seemed to work like a phone. Prosciutto looked at the device with wide eyes of awe, it didn't look like anything he knew of. He clicked all the buttons on the side until it turned on. He was confused on how to use it, since modern smartphones didn't exist before 2001. He clicked everything until he realized he had to use the screen.

After he figured it out, Prosciutto tried to call the other members. Every single number led to some stranger or was unavailable, instead of a fellow member. Did all of La Squadra get new phones, or did they all die? That was the question that appeared in Prosciutto's mind. He then told Pesci that they got to look around the surrounding area, to see if there were any other members nearby.

After a long look around the beach, they didn't find anyone. Prosciutto told Pesci that any of them could be in a nearby town and they needed a car to get there. Then they saw a blue car, it's door wide open. As members of a gang, crime was not out of their moral standards. They hopped into the car, then Prosciutto started it. As he drove the car, the two hoped to find the others.

Idk what to title it, so I went for some Casey Jones lyrics. Also, prepare to be disappointed.

Pesci and Prosciutto are made by Hirohiko Araki, and are from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
