Part 5. Feeling around. 

The four legged walk i did was interesting. I didn’t feel tired from all the walking i was doing even on fours. Or even standing. I still felt like i could keep going for hours. And with my back tails that hovered behind. I started feeling something with my two smaller ones. I don’t know what it was or so. But it felt like i could feel the thickness of the room or could be the pressure? I wasn’t sure yet. Maybe the next room might know. 

As the guard took me throughout more tunnels of tubes. We finally entered another chamber, But instead of it having lot of people around. There just seemed to be me and the guardian who sat there in a large blank room again. 

“Coms unrestricted.” The system voice told. 

“Hello welcome! I’ll be running you on how to feel your way around without any of your visual ability or vibration spines. So the room will be silent and anti-vibration to prevent you from hearing stuff around. This’ll teach you how to use your twin tail spins and the small nib spines on your forehead just by your nose. These are a crucial for judging your awareness of what’s around you. These sensors help a wide load of array of judgements about from around you. Think of seeing without eyes and feeling without touching. They help you feel what’s around you. We’ll walk you through how to get used to these. But first. I’ma have to ask you to wear these and these over your spines.” The guardian told to me inside my head as i looked to them. I could soon see them lift a paw in the air and suddenly a small dust cloud started rushing from the floor into the air. Suddenly they formed into what looked like goggles that were blacked out and some kind of socks that were in shape of my spines. 

“Alright.” I told and nodded. 

With a wave twist, the gear flew over to me and suddenly slapped onto my face like some kind of glue and it stuck firmly on. Along with the feeling of the sock sleeves slipping over my sensitive spines that made me wiggle from the tickle feeling. 

“I’m sorry this’ll be uncomfortable for you. But this is to help you focus on what’s important. These goggles will block your vision from being viewable and the spine socks will prevent any ability to feel noise. And the room you thought was empty will now be filled with a course of walls and things surrounding it. I want you to enter this maze i’ll put you into and you need to find yourself out without hitting a single wall or object in it’s path. If you do. It’ll restart and you’ll need to keep going till you finish. So take your time.” The guardian told. 

The feeling of my spines kinda made me shake a bit to get them off. But i knew they weren’t so after a shake to shrug off the feeling, I soon nodded and took a deep breath to await the challenge. “Begin.” The guardian soon told. 

I couldn’t hear, I couldn’t see. But i soon could feel using my head and twin tail spines behind that i felt a opening infront of me and walls just bit apart. It was strange as i walked forward slowly i could feel the depth of how wide the walls were apart and how far close something was to me. I couldn’t explain how or what it was. I just felt from the strange feeling of depth and pressure differences that i somehow knew. And as i walked slowly ahead i could feel the front wall ahead closing closer to me as it seemed like the path was turning to the right. I followed it keeping my two twin tails behind slightly spread out to feel my sides and behind me as i felt the side walls close like i was leaving the opening behind me behind and fully entering whatever maze this was. I used my head to kinda look around at times to get that feeling of the walls and what they had on them to know what i was basically ‘looking’ at. But it seemed the walls were pretty much smooth, maybe a slight texture to them but faint. As i turned another turning point, I suddenly stopped as i glanced down at the ground noticing i could feel something seemed like it was on the floor. I couldn’t sniff, So getting a idea of the smell or what it was wouldn’t work. But when i came to a slow walk closer i could feel it seemed like a ball. Smooth curves all around and just laying there in the middle of the room. The guardian mentioned not to touch anything. So i avoided it as i moved over the ball stepping one foot over the other to step over the object as i continued forwards. As i progressed the maze started to get more and more tougher as more objects were slowly being scattered around. Even the ceiling closed on top of me and now made it like i was in a boxed tunnel. At other times i also had to crawl through rounded tubes, avoid side walls shifts, objects from above, to the sides, below, it seemed the guardian was really trying to make it tough as there were sometimes large amount of items i had to avoid and kinda squeeze through. But no matter i managed to pull it off using my feeling sensory spines on my face and tails. The tails had a large spacing feel, while the frontal spines were much smaller and more narrower feeling i could still feel quite a bit infront of me. It wasn’t far. If i could guess i’d say maybe just 4-5feet infront of me. While my tail spines could feel quite a bit farther and around me more. Giving me kinda a almost 45degree view infront of me and almost 360 behind me. As i went on farther and farther onwards i get more intune with my feeling awareness. Before not to long it seemed i walked into a large figure that was sitting in the path. Which made me stop since it felt like it was blocking the whole area. Did i walk into the wrong direction? The path never had any deciding points to turn to, all of them were direction lead. So i was bit confused. But as i slowly looked around and felt more about. I soon understood and i sat down with a nod. “Hello guardian.” I said. 

“I’m impressed. You got rather used to that pretty fast and not without a single hit. Very agile and swift. You are very flexible. Rare for most. But still pretty good. Wise and swift. I don’t think there is much else that can be taught with you since your skills exceed you far. So i’ll remove these and let you go on your way to learn more. Enjoy and have good time little one.” The guardian said and before not long i felt the vibration socks flip off my spines from my back and head top, along with my goggles the unstuck from my face. Seeing clearly now i was like 2foot from the creature’s form and the gear i had soon turned into dust again to flow into the ground and vanish. The walls around me soon shuffled into the floor along with the ceiling curving around and also going into the floor to disappear once again to leave the room open and empty besides me and the guardian. 

With a nod i got up and turned to walk away and out towards the shield barrier. Once i got to the end i saw a guard standing by. 

“Coms restricted.” The voice soon told.
