After doing the gen 2 water starter Totodile, I decided to do another water starter, the OG water starter Squirtle from gen 1! I wasn't sure what sort of pose to draw Squirtle in though, so I referenced Smash Ultimate and looked at all of Squirtle's attacks for inspiration. The only attacks it had that involved its feetpaws were its forward air and forward throw, which both have Squirtle double kick its opponent. So I decided draw Squirtle doing a double kick, and added the Squirtle Squad sunglasses just because. :)

Next I plan to do Blastoise. Maybe I'll look at Blastoise's moves in Pokken for inspiration? After that, I haven't decided what Pokémon to do next. As of this posting, 389 Pokémon have been completed since the project was started in February. That's pretty impressive! Make sure to check out all the other entries that other artists have contributed! This is a massive team effort, and there's still over 500 Pokémon (including alt forms such as regional variants, mega evolutions, Rotom forms etc) that haven't been claimed yet. So there's many more to choose from!
