\pard\sa200\sl276\slmult1\f0\fs24\lang9 Franklin woke up yawning as he streched, getting out of his bed. He turned to see Christine asleep beside him, gently tapping his wife's shoulder. Once Christine was up he mentioned he was gonna get started on breakfast.\par
Christine nodded, deciding to get ready watching Franklin get dressed as he pulled his jeans up and pulled his shirt overhead, smoothing his outfit.\par
"I'll get the kids up, take your time Honey" Franklin added as he walked out of the room and into the hall. Franklin made his way down the hall stopping as Stanley's bedroom door turning the door as it clicked. Franklin looked toward his teenage son calling out to the bed as Stanley practically jumped out out of bed.\par
"I'M UP!" Stanley called out as Franklin told him breakfast would be ready in 30 minutes and to take a shower. The teenager practically bolted to the shared bathroom wearing only a pair of boxers, grabbing an armful of clothes. \par
with Stanley taken care of he walked to Annabelle's room knocking on the door, asking Annie if she was up. since Cassie was staying over he did not want to risk just barging in as he heard Annie's voice from the other side, confirming both girls were up as Stanley told them breakfast would be in 30 minutes.\par
Both girls agreed to be down in time as he left heading to the stairs heading downstairs. the sounds of girls talking and the running shower filled the house. Once Stanley made his way downstairs he headed to the kitchen. despite Cristine insiting on being on the one who cooked for the family Saturday breakfast was always something that Stanley did.\par
as usual he would make his trademark omlettes. getting a bowl from the cabinet and cracking a few eggs into it. whisking the eggs together Franklin added an asortment of spices before watching the specs of red and orange vanish into the mix of yolk and egg whites. giving the blend a unified light yellow hue. he would begin pouring the mixture into a hot skillet, watching it sizzle.\par
Franlkin pulled some cheese from the fridge, placing the slices on top of the egg with a light bed of meat before folding it over. The girls were the first one to table. Cassie's hair a bit frizzy as the sat down.\par
"So did you girls have a fun sleepover" Franklin asked, folding the eggs as they nodded. Annie bringing up that Cassie invited her to go swimming with her friends after the party, asking if she could go. Franklin thought it over, asking Annie if she knew where her swimsuit was. reminding their that the neighbors were comeing over for a housewarming party.\par
"You need to be back here by 8 o clock" Franklin decided, seeing no problem with Annie hanging out with her new friends as Cassie nodded, commenting how they always threw a house warming party whenever an outside family moved. a way of formally welcoming them and everyone gets to know them, recalling when they did one for her family.\par
"Really, Your not local" Annie asked as Franklin opened the fridge, getting the juice and setting it on the kitchen table as Cassie shook her head admitting she and her mother were originally from Viewpoint and moved to Terrabella a few months ago.\par
"The people have been really nice since we got here" Cassie added as Stanley came downstiars dressed by his hair damp as he grabbed a seat and sat down. Cassie explained they would need to stop by her place so she could get here swimsuit.\par
"I'm probably gonna walk around town" Stanley added, approching the toaster, putting some bread in as he pushed the handle down as Franklin looked at him, explaining their would be no eating until everyone was at the table. Stanley huffed, pushing a button as the bread shot back up. him walking back to the table.\par
"So Cassie anything fun to do in this town?" Stanley asked curious about the squirrel's opinon as she listed of her favorite things to do. including the park, birdwatching, tree-climbing. he simply rolled his eyes. eventually Christine came down after getting ready, kissing Franklin of the cheek as she sat down.\par
Franklin set down everyone plates, containing an omelette topped with a dab of ketchup and some toast with jelly and butter. he looked to Cassie asking if it was to her looking as she pressed the side of her form against it, lifting a bite to her mouth, holding her cheek, showing an emotion that said the egg was delicious.\par
After Breakfast began Stanley ran a knifeful of jelly along his toast. telling his mother that Annie wanted to go swimming with her friends after the party. adding that dad said it was ok as long as she was back before 8 as to not miss dinner. Chrstine simply wiped her mouth with a napkin.\par
"That sounds like a fun idea, your swimwear should be box marked 'summer clothes' and you can keep an eye on her" Cristine decided looking at Stanley as he huffed, mildly annoyed. asking if he had too.\par
"I think it would be would a good idea to keep an eye on your younger sister" Christine responded, cutting her eggs as Stanley looked at Franklin. adding that this wasn't the city and othing was gonna happen to her.\par
While Franklin did not believe their wood be any risk he saw nothing wrong with Stanley spending the day with his sister, supporting the decesion, mentioning it wasn't like Stanley had any actual plans as he reluctantly agreed to watch her.\par
after Breakfast Cassie asked if she could use their bathroom to freshen up. Franklin responded that she didn't need to ask, watching the squirrel leaving as breakfast was concluded. once the kids were gone Stanley went around the table collecting the dishes carring them to the sink.\par
"I Wash, You dry?" Franklin proposed scrubbing one of the plates with a sponge as he held it under the sink, cleaning the ketchup residue off before handing it to Christine who went over it with a dry cloth setting it aside.\par
Franklin mentioned that it was nice Annie had alredy made friends considering she didn't really have any before moving her, adding the enviorment might be good for her. eventually the kids huddled in the living room to watch saturday carttons \par
eventually they finished the dishes. Christine adding she was going out to pick up more food as all they had was half a carton of eggs some ham, cheese, bread, ketchup and mustard and had used up all their potatoes. Frankln ageed to stay here and watch the kids.\par
"I'll send them out to help carry the bags when you get back he responded watching her leaving the house, heading towards the stationwagon. Once she was gone Franklin mentioned he would cleaning up around and then would be in his studio, looking at the two girls who had their eyes glued to the televison and seeing Stanley head upstairs.\par
Franklin made his way around the house, making sure everything was clean enough for the guests coming over. after the house was presentable he lugged a trash bag out of the house, carrying it to the trashcan. once he set it down he finally had some time to relax heading back inside, passing by the girls.\par
"Annie when mom gets back I want yo and Stanley to help her carry the bags in" Franklin informed as she nodded. Once in his studio Franklin strched his arm, sitting at his comfy chair, picking up a vinyal rocrd, sliding the disk out from it's carboard square and placing it on his stereo before fiddling with the knob and setting the needle.\par
The room was filled with easy listening music as he walked to the globe in the corner of his room, flipping it open rvealing a few bottle and glasses, pouring himself a drink. he closed the globe walking to his desk, sitting down, taking a sip before picking up his pencil. Franklin would spend the time brainstorming his work.\par
The girls were watching cartoons as Cassie glanced over to Annie asking if she could use their phone. Annie saw no trouble with it and did not want to bother her dad, allowing it as the squirrel left the room, heading to the kitchen where the corded wallphone hung.\par
Cassie pulled the phone off it's hook, putting her finger in one of the holes, scrolling the wheel. waiting as there was voice on the other side. Cassie adressed the Voice as Mrs. Kotts, asking if she could speak to Rosie. there was sounds of shuffling as the young Rabbit's voice cme through.\par
"Hey Cass, how's it at the new girl's place, are wishing you came here instead, you will believe what Sahnnon did last night" Rosie asked as Cassie felt it only right to inform Rosie as she was basically the leader of their friend group.\par
"Rosie I just wanted to tell you Annie's folks are okay with her going swimming after the homewelcoming party" Cassie explanded as Rosie sighed. remembering about that, added her folk had baked a strawberry cake for them, adding she had to stop Lily from putting her fingers on it.\par
"The reason I called it also Mrs. Gates wants Stanley to come with to keep an eye on her, her brother" Cassie explianed asking if this was okay. Rosie pondered before givng an okay. adding it would be nice to meet this Stanley asking if Cassie thought they could get him on their side.\par
Cassie simply shrugged, adding she had not really tested him yet, but he was the cool and rebelious type judging by his room and the fact he smuggled her a casette. \par
"It's not enough to go off and we can't play our hand to early. I suppose we can use the swimming time as a chance to properly test him and well as Annie." Rosie decided\par
"Speaking of Annie I did speak to her, she does expiernce touching hersef, and does it frequently, like twice a week. I offered to teach her some techniques but she didnt feel like doing it. she could hve just been tired though... oh i should go, Mrs. Gates just pulled in" Cassie reponded hanging up the phone.\par
Cassie barely made it back to Annie before the heard Franklin calling for his studio, telling the kids to help their mom with the grocery bags. Annie got up from watching TV as Stanley rushed down the stairs. they left the house, each being handed a brown paper bag to carry inside. Christine adding she was going to make some dishes for the party as it would embarssing if their were no snacks.\par
"I should probably head home, check in with my mom see you at the party later" Cassie replied leaving the Gates household\f1\fs22\par
