The Ask the Cast series returns, with the forty-second edition.

Zoey is asked if she were to go barefooted outdoors, or if she were to dance barefooted in a saloon. Let it be known, she's worried about . . . THE WORMS! Yes, the flesh-eating worms that enter through the feet, and consume their host through the leg(s) upwards. To that end, you won't find Zoey walking outdoors without boots.

However, she doesn't mind walking barefoot indoors, even admits that she does it often - not for dancing purposes though. Going barefoot is only a small part of her quote-unquote "outfit", or lack thereof...

On an artistic note: the third panel was heavily inspired by bonus cartoon material in the 2010 video game Red Dead Redemption, particularly the one concerning the old fears of doctors and their patent medicines.
