Given Kharl's revealed nature and his lack of impulse, he would likely be in charge of that confrontation, calling them off in the nick of time. Coalt's second chance would depend on how he handles the sudden shift in power dynamic. I can see that ending in him being healed but made thoroughly aware that he was spared.
