in my new canon I'm slowly building, Calphayus is a former Cathar slave who was singled out for his gift of prophesy.

I made him fat and fluffy and on every level including physical he is a ragdoll cat. He did not sign up for being a Dread Master, and is generally pretty mellow. However, being in a Force Bond with other Dread Masters rubbed off a more violent streak onto him, that he struggles with.
