X5 Report 8.1

Drone 1617, Former Designation: Theyr.

The Nature of the drone program was intended for rehabilitation, productive labor, and infiltration. But after Jolt, Volt, and Verze suggested offering a volunteer program. Some would be apparently eager to have their identity erased for a while as their bodies were improved. This would of course require a less production line based assimilation chamber. Though I'd be remiss if I didn't say the production line was dozens times more efficient, Volunteer droning would be significantly less problematic. Instilling subliminal indifference can be time consuming.

Though before we offer the volunteer program, we must test the solitary chamber for single conversion. I've done research about how to instill the drone process into an 'experience' a volunteer would find enjoyable. Theme parks tend to have story driven experiences customized for them to enjoy akin to a floor show. Subject Theyr is a kobold who was caught attempting to enter a club Drone 1003 was guarding without being on the approved list.  After some coercion to get Verze to relinquish his new toy, I decided to use him as a testing figure for the individual pod.

The Subject is ushered into a bright lobby, where an orientation video will play an explanation of the droning process to them. The figure presenting it should either be an orca, or a digital construct designed to appeal to the subject volunteering. (getting an idea in their head that code looks like how they'd be attracted to might be warranted.)

From there, the subject is lightly sedated and brought into a gravity light pad as the thermium is applied. each step is narrated as their mind is subsumed into the pod network. Once the solitary volunteer is drones, the next room leads out to the pod integration hall where they will march and have their thoughts linked to their assigned pod.

Drone 1617 reports the process was comfortable and enticing, and while individuality is suppressed, they are still able to recall opinions and feelings from before their conversion enough to be able to talk in detail about them.

Apparently This one is no stranger to drone assimilation. The Drone arms race is getting quite competitive. Further information is needed.

A gift from Th3yr of his kobold being turned into a drone. I am blown away at the animation. Thank you so much!  It's the perfect opportunity to develop a more volunteer based drone pod to see how well they'll perform in service.
