Based on the 1970's novel of the same name, 'The Wives of Stratford' was F. Cravenster's most controversial film, which was no small feat when compared to the rest of his library of work. Where the novel was a "Feminist Horror" putting a spotlight upon toxic masculinity and systemic misogyny, Cravenster took the complete opposite route, reframing the story as a pornographic celebration of traditional values and male dominance. Not that any of the actresses, impromptu or otherwise, are complaining.
