Acknar Humboldt was born in 1920 and married Jianna in 1939. He is the father of Alicia and Eduard Humboldt. He served as a key figure in the counterintelligence efforts of King Anton II and Queen Alexandrina I between 1940 and 1950, working as an intelligence officer against communists. In 1956, he was appointed head of counterintelligence for the Blue Army, where he criticized the persecution of Marxist leaders. From 1959 onward, Acknar, thanks to his wife Jianna, developed a close relationship with Princess Alexandrina II, who revealed all the Romanov-Cyron secrets—secrets known only to the Vasilievs, the personal lawyers of the Arvid-Romanovs since 1888 and later of the Cyron-Romanovs since 1905. In 1962, as part of a systematic purge of dissenting officials, Anton III ordered Acknar's assassination along with other key associates, including Janna and Johan Holstein (William Holstein's wife and son), in an act of symbolic and political reprisal against William Holstein and all those around him. Alicia and Eduard, especially Alicia, grew up resenting the Cyron-Romanovs, attempting to oppose them with republicanism, though by 1975 they had failed to abolish the monarchy. In 1985, Acknar learns that his daughter is in the Golden Eagle Battalion with Princess Kristel and decides to go looking for her with a group of soldiers. Tragically, on November 9, 1985, he is killed in an explosion caused by the Diamantines, along with all the occupants of the Jeep he was in, on the border of Diamantine Romania. Alicia learns of this news and decides to dedicate herself even more wholeheartedly to supporting the Blue Army.
