TL NOTEs:

The name of the girl is based on the sound Tanuki make when they drum their belly. It is correctly(?) translated as Pokko but I went with Poko because of the English title of the movie Pom Poko. I saw an argument about this specific topic a long time ago. For now, I side with the traditional English translation.

Tsuki is just a direct phonetic translation for the sake of consistency with previous translations of this story. The implication of his name being part of the word "kitsune" is obvious- but a better translation of his name would be "Lucky", as it would better communicate the intent of the author.

The correct translation of the title of this story is "Petit Snow Country Love Anecdote". I went with "Winterland" for the sake of consistency and because it really is a clever name, kudos to whoever came up with it.
