Being a gooey dragon, Dev's innards are quite drippy too, not just in saliva and acids, but the flesh itself.
The constant slickness makes it easy to slip in the gradient's throat, getting darker the deeper you go, up until you finally land inside of the stomach, drool, acids, and goo pooled at the bottom of it
