Lake-effect ketchup is produced during dinner atmospheric conditions when a cold vinegar mass moves across 57 varieties of warmer lake water. The lower layer of air, tapping the bottom of the lake water, picks up tomato vapor from the lake and rises through corn syrup. The vapor then heinzes and is deposited on the leeward (downwind) french fries. — Wikipedia or an unreasonable facsimile thereof
