:The Imperial Bridle:

This bridle is considered a treasure of the empire and the reason for their excellent cavalry. It was even considered custom that usually one of the children of the imperial couple would don the bridle to increase the societal status of the equines. Sometimes the equines sired would be treated much better than the soldiers who rode them. This contradiction was one of the many reasons which led to the empire's decline.
After the splintering of the empire most of these bridles were considered lost with the current imperial family only holding unto a few. Some copies of the bridle can still be found in old strongholds of the former empire. Whilst the imperial family has condoned anyone wearing a bridle outside of their influence, they do offer great rewards for their return and even offer spots for former wearers to enlist in their cavalry. That doesn't stop some from keeping and using them themselves however.
