I always assumed beings like Shenron don't like existing for long. I came to that conclusion during a wish scene in a certain Dragon Ball Z arc, when the cast couldn't decide what to wish for and Shenron then urged them to hurry up. I havent seen much of the show, so I might be totally wrong on that
