Hi there everybody!

I'm here with the 4th Skektember prompt: "Prophecy".
I would have likely drawn skekZok, or skekOk panicking for this one, but I wanted to challenge myself to not draw the most "obvious" and thanks to my friend :iconzurelazuli:'s suggestion, I randomised my choices.
skekEkt got assigned to this one, and that brought to my mind an old possible plot point Jim Henson had thought up for him during some early idea discussions for the Dark Crystal!

In that discarded (or, at least, never used for the film) idea, skekEkt had been mentioned to "perhaps create an amulet, like a gemstone, then he would convince all the rest of Skeksis they needed to possess one"
From that original (and really fun!) Henson idea, I derived with a weird after-thought. The "world of the Dark Crystal" book tells us that, while skekZok was the one to make and dictate the Skeksis' prophecies and soothsayings, all the other Skeksis had their own methods to do their own divinations, since they did not actually believe him much.
I thought that maybe, combining the idea about skekEkt creating a type of amulet "everyone needed to have" and the fact that all Skeksis indulged into trying to predict the future and create their own prophecies, could be nice material for a fun drawing. ^^
So: here you have skekEkt, bursting into the court with his newly created "special amulet" dangling from a bright golden chain held in his hand for everyone to see. He will probably try to convince them about it possessing "Anti Prophecy" properties, and tell them they should all commission one from him to wear until the Great conjunction, so to stay safe in the remote case of a potentially dangerous Gelfling showing up to confront them.
Little would he know that he might be actually right, and Gelfling might not actually be all but extinct!...Unfortunately for him though, his beautiful amulets would serve no purpose against Jen and Kira's quest...

This is, again, fineliner inks, and waterbased markers for the greyscale.
