Some nights, the gods roll dice. Other nights, they just knock over the whole table and see what happens.

Sid and Icarus, wanted in six kingdoms and definitely banned from at least three bathing establishments, stumbled into the same tavern after months of near-misses, bad luck, and good theft. The ale flowed like guilt from a priest’s confessional, and between clinks of stolen goblets and boasts of ill gotten glory, the tension thickened as the two kept trying to one up each others work.
So they decided to do a wager..

The show that followed couldn’t rightly be called a duel, unless you count duels where shirts come off, the furniture gets repurposed as leverage, and the crowd starts taking bets on who will finish first.

By the end of it, the tavern was a mess, the bard had fainted (twice), and the only clue that two notorious outlaws were there was a sticky mess on the table and a few stolen coin pouches.

Some say it was a love story.
Others say it was a crime scene.
Either way, it’s now a drink special at the tavern.
