So many things have happened, basically the criminals (including Suri and Rahkar) have hijacked an experimental prison ship, rescuing the Humans and the Artanya Brothers in the process and bringing Haerile and Vai along with them. Now, the group is wanted by The Jithran Senate and The Enalla Congress, with heavy bounties placed on Russell and Ash's heads. These series of events have worn Russell out and he sneaks away to the deck of the ship to calm down and watch the stars, only to be found by Ash. Russell tells Ash that he believes it is destiny that he, Zia, and Derrick came to Otacaia and that he met Ash. He begins to talk about his special interests, particularly the zodiacs. This is how The Jade Owls got their name, because of Russell's zodiac and Ash's nickname for him. That talk really solidified Ash's desire to be Russell's friend, keep him safe, and show him how to manage his Ergokinetic powers.
