Alex had always been drawn to the allure of forgotten places, and the abandoned film studio on the outskirts of town was a treasure trove waiting to be explored. With a flashlight in hand and a backpack slung over his shoulder, Alex ventured into the decaying building, his curiosity piqued.
As he wandered through the shadowy corridors, his light caught a glint of metal in a cluttered prop room. There, amidst the debris, lay a pair of sleek, baton-like objects. They were futuristic in design, adorned with buttons and indicators that hinted at advanced technology. Intrigued, Alex tucked them into his backpack and made his way home, eager to uncover their secrets.
Back in his apartment, Alex set the batons on his table, studying them closely. They looked like props from a sci-fi film, complete with ports at their bases that suggested they needed power. Rummaging through his collection of cables, he found one that fit and plugged the batons into a wall outlet. A low hum filled the air as they came to life, their tips glowing with a soft blue light.
Heart racing with excitement, Alex grasped one baton in each hand and pressed a button. The response was immediate and terrifying. A surge of electricity crackled through the devices, and before he could drop them, streams of liquid rubber erupted from their tips, splashing onto his arms and chest.
Panic surged through him as he clawed at the creeping substance, but it was futile. The rubber latched onto his skin, writhing like a second, living flesh. His clothes disintegrated under the spreading ooze, leaving him exposed as the liquid rubber slithered across his chest, tightening, molding, reshaping him. The air filled with a strange, synthetic scent like heated latex and ozone.
