Chloe and Zoey take a well-earned nap after a successful hunting trip, but cuddling up in the middle of the day can be dangerous. An opportunistic snake plans to show them why, but even he might be interrupted.

6,600 words. One of the oldest stories I've written about Outlet's characters, from back in late 2020. A lot of the prose and phrasing is pretty poor compared to my current standards but it's nice to have a point of reference for how much I've improved.

This is also the first appearance of Setra, an OC I made to have a hypno snake who wasn't literally Kaa or a recolor. It doesn't come across much in this story, but I wanted her to be smaller and kind of cowardly in contrast to the typical giant smug pred. She's described as red and blue with a hot/cold theme, but I dropped that later. The updated version of Setra is described more thoroughly in Brain Freeze and Hot Water.
