Decided to try my luck at drawing my favorite warhammer ship again, Queek Headtaker and Ska Bloodtail, but with a fun little gender bend. For those uninitiated I encourage you to read the novel Headtaker if you can get your hands on a copy physical or digital and read it because afterwards you will 100% understand why Queek x Ska is the best ship in all of warhammer fantasy and 40k. For real though I read Headtaker years ago and this ship still exists in my brain because they had the most adorable relationship I've ever seen 2 skaven have. For this piece though I really wanted to try and draw gender bent versions of the characters as I had these rough concepts of what a gender bent queek and ska would look like for a couple years now and I'm very much not disappointed with the results I was able to produce here. I know some other artist have already created gender bent skaven but for this I really wanted to try and make these designs my own so I tried to remain as uninfluenced as possible in the creation of these two.

As for the pose itself, I wont lie it was a bit of a challenge. I ended up restarting this piece once which delayed my posting by atleast 2 days, but it was worth it. In the original the legs were very wonky and I just couldn't make them work but when I sat down to redraw it I shifted the camera angle while maintaining the same pose and found it much easier to draw. While I would have liked to have gotten a coloured version of this piece out I just didn't want to delay the post any longer then I already have, maybe I'll revisit this piece in a few weeks and give it a once over with colour, no promises though. All together though I'm very happy with how this piece turned out and can't wait to draw these designs again. My next piece should be a SIMPLE pov shot so I'm hoping that wont take forever and I can actually stick to my plan and have it out in a couple days.
