What is this? Momster manual is my attempt to draw various mayternity inspired monsters every day during month of may, with small side part for bits of lore and maybe even rules on occasion. Monsters will be either individual charcters or representatives of a type of creature.

Image sets will consists of few monsters with same theme.

This is the second image of monstrous humanoids set.

Day 7: Ogre Shaman

"These caves are a mess, twists and turns, monsters at every corner and no signs of civilization, it would have been the end of your band too, had you not been approached by a light in the darkness, a great giant form of an ogre woman who looked down at you as if your band was some sort of lost kittens.

"Follo me" She grumbled in half understandable common tongue as she guides the way further, desperate by now, you follow, as your band is lead outside the caves, before being shown a way to get away from them...you don't know why you got saved or who the ogres was, but you are sure she had something...magical to her."

Inspirations and Mechanics

This is much simpler concept, character that could be found in old editions of ADnD in complete book of humanoids, class limitations were kinda silly in that period, thus highest class level for ogres were odd, among them was lvl 4 clerics, which felt like fun concept to return to, a shaman ogre lady, likely respected and quite feared by her kin elsewhere in the area...

But what would she do? Well, shamans at times tend to tribes of various kinds or lead them, but what if she is more so monstrous midwife instead?

She wanders about her little area of the mountains, often meeting up with other tribes of likeminded humanoids such as occasional more savage human, orc or other ogres, and perhaps she is the mother of many a half-ogres one would find in such an area, as well as being one that make sure, few mothers die in child birth under her great watchful gaze, beating the death to go away so to speak...

Listed bellow is the profile of ogre mother in 5th edition DnD.
