It's strange, when you design a character, you have an idea in mind. Only after do you start to feel what their character is like. Doing these types of sheets makes them seem more in-depth. I remember after finishing Holton, I'd stare at his face and wonder what he'd be like in real life. Sometimes, just a face can reveal a great deal. You know, someone who smiles a lot compared to someone who frowns a lot. It's burnt into their face. For me, there are even faces that warn you they can't be trusted.
These are the types of things I keep in mind. Good guys, bad guys, need to have faces that reflect who they are. But, is this always the case? No. Sometimes, the best evil characters have trusting faces. Wouldn't you agree?
Don't worry, if you like Holton here, you are in good company. Just look at that natural resting face. Automatic smile and kind eyes make you want to grab his face and plant a kiss! He'd probably giggle and ask what that was all about.
