From the thumbnail it looks like the centerpiece is drawn on a whiteboard with those Expo dry-erase markers. Not a complaint, but it tripped some interesting memories from school. (We had some talented whiteboard artists in my school.) I think it's the stroke pattern. Those markers are notorious for being very streaky.
