Some days ago I was browsing through my copy of "The Great American Pin-Up" and stumbled upon this beautiful illustration from Billy DeVorss titled "Honey-Moon", from 1939. I really liked the oneiric take, and I thought the lady looked so gentle and beautiful, posing weightlessly over her translucent moon.
Some say there is a hare in the moon, so Catherine was just perfect to recreate this dream from the past.
This was the first time I tried colouring with digital painting. Being colourblind I struggle a lot with colors, and to overcome this :iconnyxapnea: had to teach me the basics of color theory with some exercises aimed at making me blend colours even without actually being able to see some of the shades.
